Marcello Rivera isn’t a name that everyone knows and links to the V8 Supercars series until of late. Back racing again after a few years off, “Cello” is a genuine front runner when the conditions suit.
A fast consistent driver, Marcello burst his way onto the international sim racing scene where he qualified as a Pro driver in the Blancpain Endurance Series. Having two podiums under his belt on the global front gives him the confidence to tackle the local Australian scene which he will tackle head on. Wednesday nights will suit this heads-up racer who will maintain his professionalism as he takes on Australia’s best.
A brilliant pole position at round five of the 2022 Pro Series made a statement to the field that once “Cello” finds some consistent form, he will be a genuine front runner.
